About the opportunity:
Do you thrive in the pursuit of ensuring excellence in environmental consulting services for your clients? SWCA Environmental Consultants is expanding their team and looking for dynamic individuals who are following their passion in delivering the highest-quality project work.
You will report to the Half Moon Bay office to conduct cultural resource assessments, field surveys, and construction monitoring throughout Northern California and the Central Valley. Hours are expected to fluctuate depending on the project assignment.
What you will accomplish:
Conduct archaeological fieldwork including monitoring, survey, testing, and data recovery. Prepare survey reports, document field methods using field forms, digital photography, and sketches. Contribute to cultural resource assessments, technical reports, and environmental documents in compliance with CEQA/NEPA. Assist with mapping responsibilities in the field, including collection of GPS data using Trimble units.
Experience and qualifications for success:
Shadow Arch survey_croppedA Bachelors degree in anthropology, archaeology, or a closely related field required
Participation in an accredited field school or equivalent experience required
Minimum of two (2) years of experience working as a field archaeologicst in California; experience in the San Francisco Bay Area and Central Valley preferred
Experience with the applicaiton of standard archaeological field and laboratory techniques required
Proficiency in using Trimble units required; knowledge of ArcPad or TerraSync preffered
Previous field work experience from the San Francisco Bay Area and Central Valley
Ability to travel to a location, walk and conduct fieldwork for long hours, sometimes in inclement weather, rugged terrain, often at high altitudes, and ability to carry equipment and supplies weighing up to 40 pounds is required

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
